Team Introduction Meeting

We will have a virtual team meeting on Google Meet (Meeting Link) on Tuesday, May 6. 2026 from 7pm - 8pm.

Suits and Equipment

Swimmers need to have a kickboard for practice and a swimsuit. Competitive swim goggles are also recommended. The team swimsuit is available at Kiefer Aquatics (1231 NW Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27513).

Tryouts

For swimmers new to the team we are trying something different this year - instead of swimming 25 yards across the pool, we will have mini practices with the coaches so we can assess your swimmer for their best practice time. Details will be provided during the team intro meeting. Sunday, May 17 at 1pm.

Junior Coaches

We are welcoming junior coaches back again this year. I would like the junior coach program to serve as a development area for our future assistant and head coaches. If your swimmer is interested, here are the requirements:

- Must swim in the 2nd practice so they can help during the 6&under or 1st practice; younger swimmers are welcome to swim up if they can handle the 2nd practice

- Sign up genius to indicate which practices you will be a Junior coach at

- Required to help at least once a week

Volunteer Clinics

We cannot run the swim team without volunteers. Some of the volunteer roles include some training. We need 2 Stroke and Turn judges and 2 Starters to run the swim team. There are some clinics available at https://tsa.swimtopia.com/clinics
